A Message from Joe

Pacer Financial is an independent financial wholesaling firm I founded in 2004. While Pacer may not be a familiar name to you yet, you may have heard of PLANCO. I co-founded PLANCO in 1977 and served as President through 2001.  We built PLANCO into the largest and one of the most successful independent financial wholesaling companies in the nation with over $200 billion in sales.  As a result of this success, PLANCO was sold to Hartford Life Insurance Company in 1998.

Over my 35+ years in this industry, I've had the opportunity to earn numerous designations and licenses. These include CFP, CLU, ChFC, CMFC and the FINRA General Principal's licence, as well as a Pennsylvania Resident Insurance Producer License and a Non-resident Insurance Producer license in 45 states and commonwealths throughout the U.S. and the District of Columbia. Don't get me wrong, I haven't just taken these tests and kept up with the continuing education for fun; I have a genuine interest in wealth planning, accumulation and income distribution.

Like some of you, when I started in the business the focus was on wealth accumulation. Over the years, as the population has aged, the focus has shifted from wealth accumulation to wealth preservation and distribution. Investors, specifically the baby boomers, strive to maintain their wealth using tax efficient, cost effective strategies. Pacer's goal is to provide investment strategies and ideas that allow for market participation, downside protection, tax efficiency, and are the right cost for the client.
